GARDENING SCHEME
A basic gardening service provided by volunteers for the elderly and disabled. Please contact the Volunteer Centre to arrange for a gardener to visit.
CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU
A confidential service provided by an advisor from the Citizens Advice Bureau in Coalville is available every Friday morning from 9.30am till 12 noon, no appointment is necessary.
WELFARE RIGHTS
We are able to arrange an appointment for a Welfare Rights advisor to visit you either at your home or at the Centre. All appointments are held in a strict confidence.
FREE WHEELCHAIR LOAN SERVICE
The Centre owns four wheelchairs that are available for short term loan. There is no charge for this service.
FREE TALKING BOOKS LIBRARY
Over 130 titles available to borrow free of charge. Although priority is given to the visually impaired the service is open to all.
HOMESTART
Help for families with children under school age and who are experiencing difficulties. Referrals for this service can be given into the Centre and they will be forwarded to Homestart.
TOY LIBRARY
Organised by North West Leicestershire Council for Voluntary Service. At the Centre, we hold a catalogue of toys that are available for loan. The library provides an accessible and inclusive service offering up to date information, training, resources, toys and equipment that enables networking with parents and children, service providers and specialist services.

DISABLED DRIVERS BADGE APPLICATION FORMS
These are available at the Centre, if it is not convenient for you to call in, please give us ring and we will send one to you. When completed, it is to be given to your Doctor (along with a cheque for £2) to sign and sent on to County Hall at Leicester. Again we are happy to help you fill in the form.

ASSISTANCE FILLING IN BENEFIT CLAIMS FORMS
(Usually at your home) Just telephone the Centre 01332 850526 to arrange a convenient time for someone to help in filling in these often detailed and complicated forms. Visits are carried out in strict confidence.
TRAVEL AID SCHEMES APPLICATION FORMS
Application forms for concessionary travel aid schemes for the disabled, unemployed and/or elderly. Assistance is available to help complete the forms.
FAX AND PHOTOCOPYING SERVICE
LOCAL TOURIST INFORMATION
At the Centre we hold information on local hotels and guesthouses. Information is available on events at Donington Park Racetrack and Exhibition Centre and leaflets are available for some on local tourist attractions. You may also like to visit Donington On Line for more information on the area.
GENERAL INFORMATION ON A VARIETY OF SELF-HELP AND SUPPORT GROUPS
We have lots of information available at the Centre on various Self-help and support groups – if we haven't got the information you require we will get it for you.
